Gunmen Ransack Home, With 3 Kids, Nanny Inside
LaGRANGE, Ill. (CBS) -- Police are investigating a violent home invasion at gunpoint Friday in southwest suburban LaGrange.
Three children, ages 2, 5 and 6, along with their nanny were forced at gunpoint into a bathroom.
They were outside of an apartment complex near 47th and LaGrange Road when three men approached.

The nanny was trying to put the children into a vehicle when the men ordered the victims back into the home. The men then ransacked the apartment.
"I think she did a great job, and I commend her for her decision," LaGrange Police Chief Michael Holub told CBS 2's Suzanne LeMignot.
"As she's securing them into car seats, she's approached by an individual, who ... shows her he has a handgun and says, 'We need to go back into the unit. Let's go calmly and quietly.' "
The man was then joined by two other men who brought the nanny and three kids into the house and locked them into a bathroom.
"They told her not to come out and they said, 'We're going to be out of here in a little while,' " Holub said. "'Don't leave until you hear it's quiet.' "
That's when the nanny came out of the bathroom, saw the house had been ransacked and called 911.
Police say one of the children being cared for by the nanny is the daughter of the mother and father renting the apartment.
