Guillen's Son Slams Jenks For Comments

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Ozzie Guillen's son, Oney, slammed former White Sox player Bobby Jenks on Twitter Tuesday night, after the Boston Red Sox pitcher criticized the way the White Sox let him go.

Oney Guillen called Jenks a "yellow beard-dipping idiot," among other insults in more than a dozen tweets.

"hahah memo to bobby jenks get a clue u drink to (sic) much and u have had marital problems hugeee (sic) ones and the sox stood behind u," he wrote in another tweet.

"i thought u were a man not some punk who runs away and talks bulls**t. u coward. say it to there face when u were with them," Oney Guillen wrote in another.

Oney Guillen also alleges Jenks punched a "clubby" in the face when he "couldn't handle" his drinking.

The comments stem from remarks Jenks made to Scott Merkin, of MLB.com, about wanting to stay in Chicago.

"It was my first hope, and it hurt," Jenks told Merkin. "During my first conversation with my wife after the season, she looked me in the eyes and said that she would go anywhere with me. I said that I wanted to go back to Chicago."

"I don't want to sit here and say I'm a 15-year veteran, but I felt I was a significant part of this organization and this team. With the moves that happened and the way things rolled out, it made more sense by their actions to look elsewhere."

The White Sox had one of the most active offseasons of any team in the league. The signings of Adam Dunn and Paul Konerko indicated that the team was focused on winning. But the Dunn signing also indicated something else to Jenks.

"Once they signed Adam Dunn and gave him my number, I knew it was official," Jenks said. "With that move right there, even though they talked to me after [Paul] Konerko and Dunn signed, it was almost like an afterthought, I felt. They never made it seem like they wanted to bring me back."
