GRAND OPENING: August 1st!
After stepping off a plane at O'Hare, where do you imagine someone visiting Chicago might want to visit? Willis Tower, Millennium Park... an outlet mall?
Fashion Outlets of Chicago, having their Grand Opening August 1st - August 4th, probably wants you to choose the latter. Located near O'Hare airport, they're hoping to benefit from the foot traffic and tourism of both Rosemont and Chicago. Fashion Outlets of Chicago will have a plethora of stores, including J. Crew Factory, Prada, Men's Wearhouse Outlet and Nike Factory Store. Are you sold yet?
Stores
To be honest, Fashion Outlets of Chicago has almost too many stores to list (not the worst problem to have, I suppose). With that said, they've got all the angles covered!
Interested in women's fashion? Then stop by Prada, The Limited or Forever 21. Men's fashion? How about Calvin Klein, Men's Wearhouse or Tommy Hilfiger? Need to get your kids ready for school? They've got you covered: Stride Rite, Gymboree or the Disney Store (in case your kids get bored of shoes and clothes). They've got jewelery stores -- Swarovski for adults and Claire's for the tweens. They've got Bath & Body Works, T-Mobile and Coach. They have it all, including restaurants (shopping makes ya hungry).
If there's something you need, it sounds like you can get it there. Find out what other stories Fashion Outlets of Chicago has here.
How To Get There
From the Airport
Yes, you can, in fact, take a shuttle from O'Hare airport straight to Fashion Outlets of Chicago. I don't know why you would want to, but hey, it's your life. You can also hop on a shuttle from various Rosemont hotels, which seems a bit more ideal (I'd say definitely get unpacked before doing some shopping). The shuttles are run through Airport Express.
Public Transportation
The closest L Train is the Rosemont Blue Line. You can get off there and walk South on River Road, taking a right at Technology Boulevard, to get to Fashion Outlets of Chicago. The walk should take between ten and fifteen minutes.
You can also get there via multiple Pace busses. Try routes 811, 810, 303, 326, 332 and 895. Information about Pace busses can be found on their website.
Driving
If you're driving, you should be able to take the River Road exit if you take I-90, or the Irving Park exit if you take I-294.
Fashion Outlets of Chicago does have parking, the first two hours of which is free. After that, you gotta pay. Find pricing info on their website. It's good to note that their grand opening weekend (August 1st - August 4th) is completely free!
Before you go shopping, you should do some research! It'd be a shame to visit Fashion Outlets of Chicago without first finding out what sales are going on. You can check that out here!
No, don't worry, there's no need to thank me. I'm only doing my job.
