Report: Greg Maddux Leaving Cubs
(CBS) Greg Maddux is leaving the Cubs organization and could be joining the Texas Rangers, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Maddux served as a special assistant to the general manager for the last two seasons. He would serve the Rangers in a similar capacity, joining his brother Mike, who is the team's pitching coach.
The Cubs had hoped Maddux would stay with the organization, according to the report.
