Green Party Candidate Is Left A Debate Outsider
CHICAGO (WBBM) - As Gov. Pat Quinn and GOP challenger Bill Brady argued inside Channel 11 studios Thursday night, Green Party candidate rich Whitney and supporters picketed outside.

Whitney called his exclusion "a travesty."
"A taxpayer-funded public television stations is favoring two party candidates to the detriment of myself, a representative of the Illinois Green Party, an established political party," he said. "That is just plain wrong."
Whitney said neither Quinn nor Brady really addressed the state's financial problems. He said a graduated state income tax, a tax on real estate speculators, and taxes on the trading of options, futures and derivatives are good places to start.
