Green Line Service Resumes After Bomb Threat
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Service to the West Side on the CTA's Green Line train resumed early Thursday about an hour after officials shut the train line down after receiving a bomb threat.
Trains service was cleared to resume at 12:28 a.m., said CTA spokeswoman Lambrini Lukidis.
Service was halted between the Clinton Street station and the Harlem/Lake Street station after the threat was received about 11:15 p.m., according to the CTA
During the stoppage, a CTA Green Line train was evacuated at the Central Avenue station, officials said.
While the trains were halted, shuttle buses transported Green Line passengers from the Clinton stop, out to the Austin stop on Lake Street, according to the CTA.
