Grayslake Bans Spray Paint For Those Under 18
GRAYSLAKE, Ill. (CBS) -- The suburb of Grayslake is restricting the sales of spray paint and wide-tipped markers to try to stop graffiti.
As WBBM Newsradio's Dave Berner reports, Grayslake Mayor Rhett Taylor tells the Daily Herald the cleanup of the colorful messages scrawled around town is a waste of taxpayer money.

Thus, a local ordinance now bans the sale of spray paint and wide-tipped markers used in graffiti to anyone under 18 unless accompanied by an adult.
Grayslake is not alone in the move. Several suburbs – neighboring villages – are enacting similar bans, the Daily Herald reported.
Although other village officials think the ban is necessary, some find it sad that Grayslake and the other towns have to come to this, the newspaper reported.
