Grandmother 'Not Returning Home Until We Know Something' About Missing Toddler
CHICAGO (CBS) -- These are anxious days for the grandmother of a 2-year-old Rockford boy who's been missing for more than a month; and investigators are still trying to determine if it was his remains found in the Garfield Park lagoon over the Labor Day weekend.
"I don't want people to forget about my grandbaby," Cameshia Harris said of her 2-year-old grandson, Kyrian Knox.
Kyrian was reported missing Sept. 17, but police have said they believe he was last seen around Aug. 20. On Labor Day weekend, police found the severed hands, feet, and head of an unidentified toddler in the Garfield Park lagoon.
Harris, who lives in Atlanta, flew to Chicago earlier this month to help her daughter, Lanisha Knox, who has submitted a DNA sample to police to check against the remains found in the Garfield Park lagoon.
"I left Georgia, and I came here, and I'm officially off work, and I'm in Chicago until we find my grandson. I'm not returning home until we know something about what's going on with my grandbaby; until we find him, and he's in our hands," Harris said.
Harris and her daughter have said they do not believe the remains found in Garfield Park are Kyrian's.
"Right now, today, as I speak to you I do not believe that that's my grandson," Harris said.

Chicago Police said they are waiting on the FBI to finish DNA testing.
"I just don't believe that's him. I believe that I would be able to feel that," Harris said. "No, I don't believe that that's my grandson. It's somebody's baby, and it's sad, and I feel bad about that being somebody's child, but I don't believe that that's my grandson."
Harris said there is a $10,000 reward for information reuniting her family with Kyrian.
