GOP Presidential Contender Cain Stops In Schaumburg
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (CBS) -- Herman Cain, the surprise winner in the Florida Republican straw poll, appeared in Schaumburg Saturday to offer his ideas on fixing the U.S. economy.
As CBS 2's Suzanne Le Mignot reports, Cain spoke before an appreciative crowd at the TeaCon 2011, the Midwest Tea Party Convention.
"If we do not get this economy growing, the way it can grow, we're gonna continue to argue over what to cut, when to cut it and who to cut," Cain said.

The presidential candidate and businessman offered what he called his "9-9-9" plan."
It would revamp the current federal tax system by imposing a 9 percent corporate tax, 9 percent personal income tax and 9 percent sales tax. Cain says the plan would improve the economy and create jobs.
Cain supporter Portia Guerin endorsed the idea.
"That particular plan is what's needed to bring the economy back," she told CBS 2's Suzanne Le Mignot.
Cain says he plans to keep the momentum of his Florida straw poll win by launching his book tour next week. He'll be campaigning and promoting his new book, entitled, "This Is Herman Cain," because he says a lot of people have asked, "Who is Herman Cain?"
