Google Hosts Science Fair For Teens Around The World
CHICAGO (CBS) -- In what is being characterized as the mother of all science fairs, Google is sponsoring a contest for teenagers around the world for the second year.
As WBBM Newsradio's Regine Schlesinger reports, last year, the contest drew 7,500 projects from 10,000 students in 90 countries.

It's open to students between 13 and 18 years old and National Geographic's Albert Lin, one of the judges, says the subject of the entries is virtually limitless.
"It really could be anything from cancer research all the way to trying to find power for a third world country from renewable energy resources," Lin said.
Last year's top winner, a girl from Fort Worth, Texas, did a project on ovarian cancer.
The top prize is a $50,000 college scholarship, but Lin says everyone who enters is rewarded.
"Understanding how to be curious, that's going to take you a lot of places in life," he said.
