Glass Falls From Downtown High-Rise
CHICAGO (CBS) -- There were anxious moments in the Loop Monday morning, when glass fell from a high-rise building on State Street.
Police confirm the glass fell onto the intersection of State Street and Jackson Boulevard from the high-rise tower on the northwest corner.
Officials tell CBS 2 the falling glass was probably the result of a construction accident and not related to high winds Monday morning.
No one was injured.
The building houses at Garrett Popcorn Shop, a GNC store, a Subway, a Simply Fashions store and a McDonald's on ground level, and offices above.
