Girl, 7, Injured In McHenry Hit-And-Run
(STMW) -- Police are looking for the driver of car that sped away after striking a 7-year-old girl as she crossed the street Saturday in northwest suburban McHenry.
The girl was crossing the street about 12:25 p.m. in the 4100 block of Veterans Parkway when she was hit by a car, according to a statement from McHenry police.
She was taken with non-life-threatening injuries in "stable" condition to Centegra Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry, police said.
The suspect was driving a dark-green sedan, police said. No one was in custody Saturday night.
