Girl, 16, Shot In Washington Heights Park
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 16-year-old girl was shot Saturday night at a park in the South Side Washington Heights neighborhood.
The girl was shot about 10 p.m. while she was with a group of several people in the playlot of the park, in the 1200 block of West 92nd Street, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
Brainerd Park is near that address, maps show.
Two male shooters walked out of an alley across from the park and started firing, leaving the girl shot in the right arm, Greer said. She was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in "stable" condition.
No one is in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
