Child Shot In Back On South Side
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A child was critically injured in a shooting Tuesday afternoon on the South Side.
The child was shot in the back in the 5800 block of South Princeton in the Englewood neighborhood at about 4 p.m. The age and gender of the victim was not immediately available, but scanner traffic indicated the child is 11 years old.
The child was transported to the University of Chicago's Comer Children's Hospital in critical condition.
