Gibson: Loss To Bobcats 'Stings' Bulls

The fact that the Chicago Bulls lost to the Charlotte Bobcats was bad enough, but they way it happened makes it hurt that much more.

At 16-24, the Bobcats are a team that the Bulls should easily beat, especially when they're playing at home.

Neither team was able to get much of a lead in Tuesday night's matchup. And the Bulls had the ball with under 10 seconds left, down by one point. But a 19-foot jump shot by Derrick Rose missed and the Bulls lost for just the fourth time in their last 14 games.

"This one stings," Bulls forward Taj Gibson said. "Because this one just really slipped through our hands. We had the lead late, they just made some tough plays late...It just hurt us."

As much as this loss may have hurt, the Bulls have been playing better than anyone could have expected through the multiple injuries they've had to deal with.

The team was without Carlos Boozer for the beginning of the season, and not too long after his return, Joakim Noah underwent hand surgery. Now the team is without both, as Boozer is expected to miss a few more games with a sprained left ankle. But despite the injuries, the Bulls are 28-14 and sit in third place in the Eastern Conference, just four games behind the Boston Celtics.
