Gas Prices Creeping Back Up
CHICAGO (CBS) -- If you've filled up your tank in the past few days, you've probably noticed prices at the pump have started rising again.
Gas prices in the Chicago metropolitan area have gone up 6 cents a gallon just since Tuesday, and 3 cents a gallon in the city, according to the AAA Fuel Gauge Report.
In the past week, prices in the suburbs have shot up 20 cents per gallon, to $2.35 a gallon. In Chicago, they've gone up 17 cents a gallon, to $2.47.
While prices have moved away from the $1.99 mark of a few weeks ago, most drivers said they're fine with prices going up a bit, as long as they don't return to $3 or $4 a gallon.
One cab driver said he figures the rising prices are the result of market manipulation, and something he can't control, so he just tries his best to find the lowest price.
