Gas Main Ruptures In Elk Grove Village
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. (CBS) -- Gas company crews were dispatched Tuesday morning following a main break in northwest suburban Elk Grove Village.
The fire department in Elk Grove Village confirmed the main break at Greenleaf Avenue and Busse Road. Fire officials said Nicor gas crews were sent to the scene.
Fire officials could not confirm reports that some nearby businesses were evacuated. Several local business representatives said they were still in their buildings.
