Garza Given Notice He Will Likely Be Traded Soon
(CBS) -- Cubs righthander Matt Garza has been given notice that he will likely be dealt, according to a report from CBS Sports' Jon Heyman.
He received the notice after talks didn't produce a contract extension. Garza is reportedly getting interest from the Rangers, Indians, Red Sox and Cardinals.
Garza is 6-1 with a 3.17 ERA this season and is 5-0 with a 1.24 ERA over his past six starts. The Cubs acquired Garza in a trade with the Tampa Bay Rays in 2011.
