Garza Earns Pro Bowl Alternate Honor
(CBS) He may not be a first-team Pro Bowler, but Bears center Roberto Garza is happy to be an alternate.
Garza earned his first-ever Pro Bowl selection when he was chosen to be an alternate for the NFC's squad.
"Obviously, you always want to be recognized for the way you play," Garza told the Chicago Tribune. "First time ever, so it's kind of cool, I guess."
The 11-year pro will play behind starting center Ryan Kalil from Carolina.
