Garza Doesn't Think He'll Need A DL Trip
(WSCR) Good news for Cubs fans: Matt Garza said his tricep is feeling better and a trip to the disabled list is unlikely.
Garza exited Saturday's game early as his tricep began to cramp.
"I think it's just a cramp that's stiff, just a stiff muscle," Garza told the Tribune. "I have better movement today than I did yesterday, so that's positive. I can move it today, unlike (Saturday), so that's a huge plus."
Cubs' brass can breathe a sigh of relief as they looked to move Garza before the July 31 trade deadline.
Garza's next scheduled start is Friday against the Cardinals at Wrigley Field.
