Gammons: White Sox Still Have 'Tremendous Chance' To Win Division
CHICAGO (WSCR) Although it hasn't been as drastic of a turnaround as last season, the White Sox have stabilized their season after going 10-18 in April. And considering the struggles by some players, the White Sox should feel somewhat fortunate to be only four and a half games back.
"I just can't believe that they've gone this far with Adam Dunn hitting .175," Peter Gammons, of the MLB Network, said on the Mully and Hanley Show. "And I know this, that the Indians and Twins and Tigers all just keep staring in the mirror, looking at the White Sox saying: 'You know what, one to 25 they could well be the best team in the Division if they put together a run.' And maybe their starting pitching fuels that run. If they put together a run, they still have a tremendous chance to win, and I think Dunn is a big part of that."

And for what it's worth, Gammons thinks that Dunn will eventually break out of his season-long slump, at least for a little.
"In the hot weather, in that ball park, where the ball jumps, he's got to have a streak," Gammons said. "He's got to have a 10 home run month within him."
