Gammons: White Sox Have A 'Very Good Chance'
CHICAGO (WSCR) It's a well known fact that the Chicago White Sox got off to an unexpectedly bad start to the season, but as a of late they seem to have found the right track. And the return of Jake Peavy may be happening at the perfect time for the streaking White Sox.
"I thought that was really important," Peter Gammons, of the MLB Network, said on the Mully and Hanley Show. "The Peavy win, I mean it was just so uplifting. I mean, OK they're going with a six-man rotation, you know, to me, that's good. Keep them healthy so that if they make their run from August 1 on, they're going to have healthy starters. The power bullpen, it still should be good."

The White Sox are coming off of a two-game sweep of the AL Central-leading Cleveland Indians that caps a stretch of nine wins in their last 12 games.
They're still eight games back of the Indians, but for maybe the first time all season, that deficit doesn't seem insurmountable.
"They have a very good chance," Gammons said. I really believe that."
