Future For Notre Dame's Floyd Determined Soon
Suspended Notre Dame receiver Michael Floyd seems likely to learn his future with the team and the school very soon.
Coach Brian Kelly said after a Friday spring practice that a decision on Floyd's status at the university could come quickly after a hearing with the school's disciplinary arm, the Office of Residence Life. Kelly's understanding is that hearing was scheduled for this week.
Kelly suspended Floyd from the team last month after the star was arrested for suspicion of drunken driving. Floyd is scheduled for a court hearing in May.
Floyd, who decided to return to the Irish for a final season instead of heading to the NFL draft, holds the school record for touchdown catches (28).
