Funeral For CFD Firefighter Killed By COVID-19
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A funeral was held Wednesday morning for a Chicago firefighter who was a victim of COVID-19.
Edward Singleton, who was 55, had been with the CFD since 1987.
He died last week and is survived by his wife, Nicole, and two adult children, a son and a daughter.
Singleton was most recently assigned to Midway Airport. His funeral was held on the city's South Side. Social distancing rules kept many loved ones away.
He is the second Chicago firefighter to die of the virus.
