UPDATE: Metra Cancels Tuesday Morning BNSF Line Service From Cicero

CHICAGO (CBS)--  A freight train derailed near Cicero Monday around 5:15 p.m., forcing Metra to cancel BNSF line service from Cicero on Tuesday morning.

The south, inbound platform at Cicero is closed until further notice. Metra says all trains will board on the north outbound platform.

There will be delays for inbound and outbound trains because only one track is now open.

Metra does not know when the tracks will reopen.

Customers are being advised to use the Pink line or other nearby train stations as an alternative.
