CHICAGO (WBBM) -- Election Day in Chicago means fraud patrols.

As WBBM Newsradio 780's Bob Roberts reports, the Chicago Board of Elections, and the Cook County State's Attorney's and U.S. Attorney's offices, are all deploying teams to field complaints.

Election Board chairman Langdon Neal says the complaints began in earnest in the last couple of weeks, during early voting.

"We just had complaints about people campaigning too close to the voting site. That's principally been what the complaints have been about, and how far they have to be away, and what's proper election material within that campaign free zone," Neal said.

The zone extends 100 feet from the door to the polling place. Voters may bring in lists if they need them to remember which candidates they want.

The State's Attorney's Office has set up a hotline Election Day to field complaints of irregularities. The number to call is (312) 603-7960.
