Frank Thomas Sculpture To Be Unveiled Sunday
(CBS) The White Sox will unveil a sculpture of legendary slugger Frank Thomas before Sunday's game against the Boston Red Sox.
The sculpture is the eighth the White Sox have unveiled at U.S. Cellular Field.
Thomas played for the White Sox from 1990-2005 during his 18-year Major League career and leads the franchise in home runs (448), doubles (447), RBI (1,465), runs scored (1,327), extra-base hits (906), walks (1,466), total bases (3,949), slugging percentage (.568) and on-base percentage (.427).
The ceremony to unveil the Thomas sculpture will begin at 12:20 p.m. on the left field concourse at U.S. Cellular Field Sunday. The first 20,000 fans in attendance will receive a replica Frank Thomas sculpture. Tickets are still available.
