Four Stabbed In Cicero
CICERO (STMW) -- Four people are hospitalized with stab wounds after two related fights early Saturday in west suburban Cicero.
At 4:26 a.m. police got a call of three people stabbed at 1517 S. 61st Ave., according to Cicero spokesman Ray Hanania. Within minutes police were notified of another stabbing about four blocks away -- at 1212 S. 58th Ct. -- where a fourth person was stabbed.
Police believe the two stabbings are probably linked, according to Hanania, who said all four suffered cut or stab wounds from a knife.
Their ages and genders were not immediately known. One person was seriously hurt, and the other victims' injuries were not as bad. The four were taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn and Mount Sinai Hospital, according to Hanania.
Although police received a call of the incident on 61st Avenue fire, it was not immediately known which stabbing occurred first.
No arrests have been made and police are still trying to track down suspects as of 9:45 a.m., according to Hanania, who said authorities have not ruled out the possibility the incident was gang-related.
