Four Shot In Grand Crossing Attack
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Four men were shot early Sunday in the Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.
The four men were in the 7900 block of South Ellis Avenue about 1:40 a.m. when they were shot, according to police News Affairs.
A 43-year-old man was shot in the back and leg and a 35-year-old man was shot in the arm and the leg, police said. Both were listed in "stable" condition at area hospitals.
Two 31-year-old men were also wounded in the shooting, police said. One of the 31-year-olds was shot in the head.
The other was shot in the hand and refused medical attention at the scene, but later took himself to the University of Chicago Hostpials, where he was listed in good condition.
The gunman got into a vehicle and fled the scene, police said. No one was in custody early Sunday.
Area South detectives are investigating.
