CHICAGO (CBS) -- Four Chicago kids showed up today at the Anti-Cruelty Society Shelter in the River North neighborhood with presents for the dogs.

The kids came up with this idea on their own, according to their aunt Carolina Ruiz.
"So I am very happy that these kids have a heart to give out to the needy," said Carolina.
When asked if it surprised her, Carolina said, "It did and it didn't because I know these kids. I know them that they have the biggest hearts."
12-year-old Natalia had a bag of treats and a Santa suit for one of the dogs.
"We wanted to drop off our presents for the dogs," said Natalia. "We feel sorry for them, so we feel like giving our presents to them."
