Four Hurt In Washington Park Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Three men and a teenager were hurt in a drive-by shooting in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side late Friday.
They were standing on the sidewalk in the in the 6000 block of South Indiana Avenue when a dark-colored sedan drove by about 11:10 p.m. and someone inside started shooting, police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada said.
A 22-year-old man was seriously injured, Estrada said. He was shot in the left calf and upper back and taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
A 16-year-old boy shot in the right thigh and an 18-year-old man shot in the hand were both taken in "stable" condition to University of Chicago Medical Center, Estrada said.
Another man, 21, was shot in the left leg and is in "stable" condition at St. Bernard Hospital and Health Care Centers, Estrada said.
No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
