Four From Chicago Area Arrested In New York Burglaries
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Four Chicago-area residents have been arrested in Syracuse, New York, on charges they ran a $500,000 burglary ring.
WBBM Newsradio's Mike Krauser reports the four have been charged in more than a dozen burglaries in central New York, netting more than $540,000 in cash and high-end jewelry.
Authorities in New York said the four also were suspects in other crimes in Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, and New York City.
David Djurdevic, 34, of Chicago; and Valentin Lakatosz, 41, Chanel Lakatosz, 26, Jan Kopacz, 35, all of Norridge, have been charged with multiple counts of burglary, larceny, and criminal mischief.
All four were arrested at a hotel in Syracuse, and were being held at the Onondaga County jail.
