Four Displaced By South Side Fire

CHICAGO (STMW) - Four people were displaced in a Saturday afternoon fire on the South Side.

The fire started just after 5:30 p.m. in the rear of a two-story building in the 100 block of West 95th St., according to the Chicago Fire Department.

The blaze, which was elevated to a still-and-box alarm, was quickly extinguished, the fire department said. Nobody was injured, but four people were displaced.

The CTA said 95th Street buses were temporarily rerouted in the area because of the fire department activity.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation Saturday evening.
