Four Charged With Attack, Robbery On South Side
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police have charged three teens and a 19-year-old man with attacking and robbing a man of his wallet early Sunday on the South Side.
Isiak Beach, 19, of the 8500 block of South Mackinaw Avenue, was charged with one count of felony robbery, as were three boys aged 14, 15 and 16, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said. The juveniles' names were withheld because of their age.
Officers were first called to the incident in the 9100 block of South Commercial Avenue about 12:30 a.m. on reports a gang disturbance was taking place, Alfaro said.
A 44-year-old man told the responding officers a group of several teens punched and kicked him and took his wallet, then fled, Alfaro said. Police spotted the teens and arrested them after a short foot chase.
The man was taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital where he was treated and released, Alfaro said.
