Former School Employee Accused Of Having Sex With Teen: Prosecutors
(STMW) -- A former employee of a northwest suburban middle school is free on bail Monday after being charged with having sex with a minor.
Lindsay P. Anderson, 26, of the 900 block of Foxwood Circle in Geneva, was charged with one count of criminal sexual assault, and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, both felonies, according to the Kane County state's attorney's office.
Prosecutors allege that between April 1, 2015, and May 8, 2015, Anderson, an employee of Carpentersville Middle School, had sexual contact with the victim, who she knew was younger than 18 at the time.
The victim's parents learned of the incident and contacted East Dundee Police, and she was taken into custody by Geneva police on Friday.
She appeared in court Sunday and was ordered held on $100,000 bond. She paid $10,000 bail and was released until her next court appearance June 4 before Associate Judge Clint Hull in St. Charles.
As a condition of bond, she cannot have direct or indirect contact with the victim; go within 150 feet of the victim's home; or have unsupervised contact with anyone younger than 18 who is not a family member, prosecutors said.
If convicted, Anderson faces up to 15 years in prison and must register for life as a sexual offender.
She is no longer employed by Community Unit School District 300.
Anyone with information about the case should call Carpentersville police at (847) 551-3481 or the Kane County Child Advocacy Center at (630) 208-5160.
