Forbes Names Blackhawks Fifth Most Valuable NHL Franchise
(CBS) -- Forbes ranked the Chicago Blackhawks fifth on their list of most valuable NHL franchises.
Forbes valued the Hawks at $625 million. Forbes reports the Hawks had revenue of $155 million in 2012-2013 and an operating income of $25.6 million.
The Hawks were ranked as second most valuable American team behind the New York Rangers, who Forbes valued at $850 million.
The Toronto Maple Leafs were ranked number one, followed by the Rangers, Montreal Canadiens and Vancouver Canucks.
