Forbes: Cutler Is 4th-Most Disliked Athlete In America
(CBS) Public surveys from Nielsen/E-Poll show that Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is currently the fourth most disliked athlete in America.
Forbes.com published the latest "Top 10 Most Disliked Athletes In America" list Tuesday, which listed Lance Armstrong No. 1 and former Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o No. 2.
According to the report, Cutler has "flirted" with the top 10 before, but never made it on the list. This time, however, Cutler is No. 4 with an appeal of just 21 percent.
It comes as no surprise that Armstrong is No. 1 after he finally came clean on doping charges. Meanwhile, the timing of the list certainly didn't help Te'o. A month ago, Te'o wouldn't have been anywhere near the top 10, but after a "catfishing" hoax that revealed his deceased girlfriend never existed, Te'o has lost popularity. According to the Forbes report, his appeal has dropped from 88 percent to just 15 percent.
Tiger Woods is third on the list with Metta World Peace at No. 5.
