For Sox, 10-1 Loss Means 3-7 Against Indians
Another awful trend continues for the White Sox this season. They're just 3-7 against the Indians so far this year. Considering the Indians were picked by many to finish last in the AL Central. That's not good at all.
Justin Masterson earned his first win of the season Friday night despite giving up six walks and five hits in just five and two-thirds innings. The White Sox inability to drive across runs--even against a guy with a winless record and over-5 ERA--is telling of this seasons troubles.
Ozzie hung with starter John Danks as long as he could (5.1 IP, 9 H, 4 ER, 2 BB, 5 K) but Danks gave up five hits (3 doubles) and a walk in the fifth and was pulled for Sergio Santos. So, once again, Ozzie had to go to his tired bullpen which surrendered another six runs.
