For Pena, Wrigley Experience 'Nothing Short Of Magical'
Baseball fans from around the world make the trip to Wrigley Field to take in the tradition and history that it represents. But players and managers, like Ozzie Guillen, don't always feel the same way.
Unlike the newer and more modern ballparks, Wrigley Field lacks certain amenities that those in the dugouts have grown accustomed to having around them.
"I'm a baseball player, I'm a professional baseball player, OK fine I'm on the field, I'm playing first base, but I'm a fan," the Cubs' Carlos Pena said on the Danny Mac Show. "I'm a fan of this game, and when I step to first base and I look around, I can't help it, but just appreciate it, and really love and really engage myself in the moment. I appreciate it, I know how special it is."

The Cubs signed Pena to a one-year contract in the offseason. Opening Day marked the first game he ever played in Wrigley Field, and before it started he wanted to make sure to get a little taste of the fans' perspective.
"When I got here Thursday, I walked up the concourse," Pena said. "I wanted to get that feel when you walk up the dark tunnel and then you see the light at the end, and then you see Wrigley Field...It's magical. It's nothing short of magical."
