For Dogwalkers, There's No Avoiding Cold, Snow
CHICAGO (CBS) -- One thing many Chicagoans don't want to do in this weather is walk their dogs but if that's what you do for a living, there's no getting around the cold.
Neville, a seven month old chocolate labradoodle, bounds out of his owner's North Center house as Becky Rutka arrives.

The Portage Park dogwalker says not all her clients are this eager to go out in the cold.
After 11 years of this, she knows some pooches need help in the freezing temperatures with salty paws.
"A lot of time the salt will get in their feet and they just start crying…sometimes they scream," Rutka said.
She swears by sock liners, base layers and a face mask but still has a hard time finding really warm gloves.
