Food Vendors At U.S. Cellular Field Hit With Violations
CHICAGO (CBS) -- On the heels of a report by 2 Investigator Pam Zekman, health inspectors have now checked out U.S. Cellular Field during a game and found the same kind of food violations they reported at Wrigley Field.
Earlier this month at Wrigley, inspectors found unsafe food temperatures and hand washing violations at various concession stands in the ballpark.
On the South Side, they found the same kind of violations at "The Cell," when they went there last Wednesday. They included four critical violations at 15 vendors, which means people could get sick if they ate the food.
What's unique about the inspections at Wrigley and U.S. Cellular is that they happened while the games were being played. That is a change from the previous practice of inspecting food vendors on non-game days.
