Fog Delays Flights At Midway By Up To 3 Hours
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Delays of up to three hours are being reported at Midway International Airport due to fog hovering over the Chicago area.
The Chicago Department of Aviation reported that as of around 1 p.m., Midway was reporting delays of 2 to 3 hours for all flights.
Delays at O'Hare International Airports were only slightly less severe, averaging 40 minutes.
A dense fog advisory was in effect until noon for Cook and Lake counties in Illinois, and Lake and Porter counties in Indiana. The advisory continued until 2 p.m. for the skies directly over the lake.
Rain showers are expected later in the day, probably around dinner time and into the evening, CBS 2 Meteorologist Megan Glaros reports.
