Floyd Scratched From Monday Start Vs. Boston
CHICAGO (CBS) -- White Sox pitcher Gavin Floyd has been scratched from Monday's start against the Boston Red Sox, due to soreness in his right arm.
Floyd returned to Chicago on Saturday to undergo an MRI, which found no structural damage, according to the team's website. He was diagnosed with tendinitis and miss Monday's start in Boston.
Dylan Axelrod will start in Floyd's place on Monday.
Philip Humber will start on Tuesday, in his return from a stint on the disabled list for a right elbow flexor strain.
Floyd could pitch on Wednesday if his arm feels better. If not, Jose Quintana pitch on Wednesday on normal rest.
