Florio: Bears Have Chance To Put Packers In A Bad Place
(WSCR) Armed with a Week 1 win, the Bears will march to Green Bay to take on the division rival Packers.
The Bears have a chance to put the Packers 0-2 to start the season after they finished 2011 with a record of 15-1.
"The Bears are in position to really put the Packers in a hole," Mike Florio told The McNeil and Spiegel Show. "Think about this: The Packers could be 0-2 with 25 percent of their home schedule done before the ball kicks off on the second Sunday of the season."

With new wide receivers and a new-look offense, Bears quarterback Jay Cutler wished the Packers' secondary "good luck" in covering his new wide outs.
"I thought it was a little gutsy and maybe a little reckless for Jay Cutler to say 'good luck' to the Green Bay Packers corners, but when you go from the pip squeaks of Devin Hester and Johnny Knox to the grown men of Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall and you're going to try to jam those guys at the line, good luck is the right phrase," Florio said. "If the Bears can go in there and steal this one, that's a huge swing. That puts the Packers, who lost one game all of last year - if they go 0-2, they're going to be feeling a lot of heat under the collar as they move forward."
Florio pointed to the work of new Bears general manager Phil Emery as the reason for the Bears' high expectations.
"It's refreshing to see the Bears finally address things that people have been screaming about for years," he said. "You just have to wonder - Jerry Angelo had every opportunity to fix it. Was it just stubbornness? What was it that caused him to refuse to address those issues. We've seen what Phil Emery has done in one offseason. It's just a breath of fresh air for the Bears."
