Five Sought In Armed Robbery At SW Side Restaurant
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Four men burst into a Southwest Side restaurant and robbed workers inside Friday morning. No one was hurt and police continue to search for them.
The incident occurred at a taco restaurant in the 4100 block of South Archer Avenue at 6:10 a.m., according to an alert from the Deering police district and police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli.
Four men between the ages of 17 and 25 entered a restaurant while armed with chrome handguns and robbed the victims of their property before fleeing in a dark colored "Wrangler" style vehicle driven by a fifth suspect, the alert said.
The victims, who were unharmed, are employees, according to according to Mirabelli. None were hurt but cash and jewelry were taken from them, the officer said.
The suspects are described as Hispanic, 5-foot-8 to 6-feet tall, 175 to 200 pounds and wearing a hooded sweatshirts, the alert said.
As of 9:45 a.m. Saturday no arrests have been made, Mirabelli said.
Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
