Five Displaced By Evanston Fire
EVANSTON, Ill. (STMW) -- Five people were displaced Thursday night in a house fire in north suburban Evanston.
Firefighters responded at 7:40 p.m. to a fire at a single-family frame house in the 1800 block of Laurel Avenue, Evanston fire said.
Heavy smoke and fire were discovered in the living room and kitchen, Evanston fire said.
No one was injured but a family of five people was displaced, Evanston fire said.
The fire was extinguished at 8:06 p.m.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
