Fitzgerald: 'It's Going To Be A Bowl Game In Chicago'
When Northwestern and Illinois take to Wrigley Field on Saturday, it will be the first time since 1970 that football is played there. The atmosphere is sure to be something that hasn't been seen there for a long time as well.

"I think Saturday is going to be a home game for us, there's no question about that," Fitzgerald said on the Mully and Hanley Show. "It's going to be a tremendous environment for both teams, but nonetheless it's going to be a bowl game in Chicago."
While Chicago might not be the biggest college sports city in the world, there is no doubting the city's passion for sports in general.
"I've said it a bunch, and I think the national media is getting sick and tired of hearing me say it, there's no doubt Chicago is the greatest sports city in the world," Fitzgerald said. "And to have a bowl game type atmosphere is going to be great for our fans, and obviously great for the players on the field."
