First Of Its Kind Dr. Seuss Exhibit Opens Next Saturday

(CBS) -- We've all grown up with the beloved works of Dr. Seuss. Now a gallery dedicated to his art.

"You're certainly going to see the work that you know and love from Seuss' best known children's books but you're also going to see these midnight paintings that he did which really stretch well beyond preconceived notions of Dr. Seuss' artwork," said Bill Dreyer, curator of The Art of Dr. Seuss.

Dreyer says his artistic talent went far beyond the printed page to his collection of secret art.

"That is the collection of paintings and sculptures he did at night from himself that he rarely if ever exhibited in his lifetime."
