Firefighters Rescue Woman From Northwest Side Fire
CHICAGO (STMW) - Firefighters rescued a woman from a burning building Wednesday afternoon on the Northwest Side.
The fire started about 3 p.m. in a second floor kitchen in a three-story apartment building in the 6700 block of West Irving Park Road, Fire Media Affairs spokesman Joe Roccasalva said.
Firefighters found the woman unresponsive during a primary search, Roccasalva said. Crews got the woman out of the building and revived her.
She was taken in critical but stable condition to Resurrection Medical Center.
