Firefighter Injured In South Austin Blaze
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A firefighter suffered minor injuries, and 15 people were displaced, after a fire in the South Austin neighborhood.
The fire broke out around 8:30 p.m. Monday in the attic of a two-flat at 429 N. Central Ave.
One firefighter suffered a shoulder injury, and was taken to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, Fire Media Affairs spokesman Kevin MacGregor said.
The Chicago Department of Human Services was called in to help the displaced residents.
The fire was out by 9:05 p.m.
There was no word on what caused the fire as of 5 a.m. Tuesday.
